No Go, Yet

Well, this weekend we (my dad and I) drove to a dealership which had a bike for sale I am interested in. After an hour an a half driving and searching for the place, we came to find out the bike was not there. Fortunately it was not sold, but it was at an exhibition in Paris. Well shit!

Of course, I could have called the dealer to see if it was there. But since it was listed on their website, I assumed (and you know what they say about assumptions...) there would not be a problem.

Fortunately, the guy was really nice and he offered to pick the bike up from Paris sometime this week, put it in his van and drop it off at my dad’s shop. I could then see when I had time to test ride it, and make a decision. Now, how is that for service? How many times have you heard a bike shop dropping off a bike at your place, and just go ride it whenever you have time and call when you are done?

Hopefully the bike will be there Monday or Tuesday next week and the weather will be somewhat ok. And maybe, just maybe, I may have a second bike in the stable to complement the wonderful sporty Beemer Boxer. What it is, I will keep a secret for just a little longer.. Happy
